CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Students will follow the 8th grade English curriculum with additional instruction in reading through an intensive computer/reading program. Students will:

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Come to class prepared and ready to participate.
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
- Be responsible, respectful and safe
GRADING:
- Read and pass quiz or assessment on 10 books
- Daily Assignments
- Writing projects
- Class participation
- Computer component (vocabulary, reading comprehension, fluency,spelling)
- Reading log
- Planner is filled out every day and signed by parent every week
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Bring your silent reading book to class everyday.
- Notebook
- Student planner
- Pen/pencil
- Markers or crayons and other art supplies as needed
- Sense of humor
