Murray Junior High School is proud of the many school activities that are provided. These programs are meant to offer students an opportunity to be active in activies they have interests in.
Athletics Murray has a strong tradition of athletics. The school belongs belongs to the St. Paul City Conference and offers several sports. Fall Sports include:Flag Football, Boy's Soccer, Girl's Soccer and Girl's Volleyball. Winter Sports include: Boy's Basketball, Girl's Basketball, and Wrestling. Spring Sports include: Boy's Baseball, Girl's Softball, Girl's Badminton, and Track & Field.
School Play/Musical Each year students in theatre present a play / musical.
Wolf Ridge Environmental Nature Center Each year a group of students spends a week at Wolf Ridge Environmental Nature Center in Finland, MN. Wolf Rdige is an accredited residential environmental school that immerses persons of all ages in hands-on, direct experiences in nature.
Murray Rock Band. Students have the opportunity to explore and express their musical talents beyond the traditional music classes in the Murray Rock Band. The students learn classic rock songs from the 1960's through the 1990's and beyond.
Additionally, students are involved in Destination Imagination, Math Team, Student Council, Yearbook, National Junior Honor Society, Computer Club, French Club, Fresh Force, and Lego Robotics.
