What do you need to know about this class?
∙Students are expected to have a notebook and folder for this class by Monday. Students are welcome to keep their notebook in my classroom. However, it is their property and they are responsible for it and any assignments in it. They are expected at times to take the notebook or folders home to work on.
∙Students need to come to class with a positive attitude, ready to work with all students.
∙Students will perform in many different ways in this class.
∙English in Action is an elective; please remember that each student chose to be in this class. This makes it easier to be positive and respectful while having fun.
∙ We will perform via video.

Make-up work
This class is based on participation. You may miss twice without making up your participation points. After that you will need to perform in front of the group on a Friday or Monday. You may perform with others who need to make up points also. The performance topic will be discussed on a case to case basis.
Behavior
I expect you to come to class on time and ready to learn and to help others. If you are disrupting or hindering others in their learning, I will give you the option of either changing the behavior or else receiving a consequence from me.
The most important rules that apply to this classroom (and life) are:
1) Use your brains
2) Use your manners.
More specifically, I ask that each day each student:
1) Be prepared for class with the appropriate material and mind set.
2) Be appropriate in actions, body language, and treatment of others, and
3) Know that respect is expected in the way that you treat peers, teachers and staff, property and yourself.
Get this signed by a parent/guardian by Friday for 20 points. It will lose 5 points a day after that. DO NOT TEAR!! I WILL JUST CHECK YOU OFF! YOU WILL KEEP THIS PAGE!!
