Everyday students need to
bring these things to class: Two mechanical pencils with
erasers A calculator A spiral notebook used only
for math A folder or 3-ring binder
used only for math Ruler (with both inches and
centimeters) Graph paper
Students in Pre-Algebra Challenge are required to have a scientific calculator. These can
be purchased at Target for approximately $12. I recommend the Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS, but any scientific calculator is fine. Students are strongly
encouraged to make this investment, but if they are unable to do so,
calculators are available for check-out at the Murray library. Students
may wish to invest in graphing calculators, which run approximately $90, but
they are not necessary for this course.
